Very very good series that is highly over looked because of its animation style.

Odd. I liked the style. I thought the series itself was pretty bad though... the phrase "yu-gi-oh meets saw" kept running through my head.

The Kaiji manga came out the same time as Yu-Gi-Oh and predates Saw by over a decade so they're not related.

Pretty much every Fukumoto manga involves psychological warfare and insane gambles. It's his thing. Personally I like it because he pulls off the suspenseful atmosphere and builds it up very well.

I love Kaiji. Akagi too.

I'm getting really sick and tired of anime cliches... and both Kaiji and Akagi are refreshing and original.

Extremely well made. It is awesome and the voice acting is superb.

BUT. But where the hell is the third season!
I mean, they had two films already and the last one was four years ago.
Come on, the series is so good and there are stories left to tell even though the second season ended happily.

Fan of the first film, didn't know about the anime series (uk ignoramus).

Guess I'll look out for it
