Only somewhat interesting and a little insincere at times..

Let me start off by saying that I sincerely love Barak Obama. I voted for him and highly support his views. However, this documentary seemed rushed. The audio mix delivered by HBO was rough and some of the fine details were just not anything out of the ordinary from what we have already learned from the media attention Barak has garnered- whether it was good or bad. Another problem I have with this doc is the crying Asian campaign staffer. I have a hard time beliveing it was sincere and found it annoying more than anything. Where was all the intense emotional outbursts from black Americans? I have this theory that the film maker over-thought the idea of having a person of different race emoting over Barak's win to show that there is no racial barrier to how people reacted to this historic win. This, I believe, is very true. However, again, the Asian staffer's emotions looked faked. Sure- they might have been real and somebody might think I'm a jerk for saying what I've said but I'm personally not convinced by what I SAW. A documentary is supposed to document facts and reality to the best of the filmmaker's ability. So if I'm not convinced by what I see as live action "crying" then something is terribly amiss -and its not me. Anyway- this was an attempt at making a documentary like "The War Room". If you know your docs, you will know what I'm talking about and you will know which one is better.

You know that. I know that. Unfortunately, with the immense popularity of Michael Moore and his "documentaries" people seem ready to accept just about anything labeled a documentary as actually being one. What we get instead are completely biased docu-films.

I think the kid looked very sincere, but he was trying not to try and just couldn't control himself, that's why he's all squishy faced.

After Barack's mother passed away I wasn't moved necessarily because Barack was crying, but because mentally he was in control and he was 100% focused on delivering his speech, his voice never wavered, but the tears came anyhow.

Even the strongest willpower can't defy the hardest heartbreak.
