What would you turn into as your horcrux?

I would turn the Hope Diamond into a horcrux, big, beautiful, indestructible.

Then who would you kill to make one?

I know it's not your point, and off-topic, but even diamonds eventually turn into softer forms of carbon, such as graphite, which is the most stable form of carbon under standard conditions(*), returning to their original state.

* temperature of 273.15 K (0 °C, 32 °F) and an absolute pressure of exactly 105 Pa (100 kPa, 1 bar).

Not to mention how a single blow of a hammer on a chisel can break a diamond apart when applied to the right or unintentionally the wrong spot. In fact during diamond mining, when the ore is crushed, care has to be taken in order to prevent larger diamonds from being destroyed in this process.

*crickets*

I see in a real situation I would be the one killed to make a horcrux, hoivin meivin, it hurts so bad, fleivin.

Little known fact but diamonds are actually flammable. They have a higher ignition temperature than most forms of carbon, but they can be burned up.

Wow, fascinating! Which proves they're just shiny carbon, though useful for engineering purposes.
