I am surprised harry broke the wand figuring it would be too dangerous in the wrong hands.

The book just had him fixing his old wand and then saying he would put the Elder Wand back into Dumboledore's casket. I like the breaking of the wand as that would take its power away, but I also wish the movie still had him fixing his old wand first.

Not me.

Harry's wand was an eternal link to Voldemort. I think he was best rid of it. A fresh start would do him good.
