If Adam Sandler wasn't in this (who did a great job at seriously acting) people would have loved this. People go crazy over Anchorman although its a cheesy and dull film. This movie was creative, funny, well put together and serious. Please tell me why its so bad? You can bash Adam Sandler yes for his recent work but this isn't one of them. This is Adam Sandler's jerk more funnier side of stuff like Spanglish.

shareAdam Sandler was fantastic in it, that wasn't the problem for me. It was just too long with pointless sub-plots and endless cameos that got old fast. I don't have a problem with a long movie when the story necessitates it but this could have easily been streamlined and not lost a thing. Much like "This is 40" I think Apatow would benefit from a good editor to trim the fat.
