This is pretty silly of me but i seemed to have accidentally dropped Altiars Sword during a fight with some guards and then seemed to have lost it, is there any way of getting the sword back again, i cant seem to buy it again from eh shop at the villa

yeah as long as you purchased it already, it doesn't matter what you do with it, you won't lose it. if you just happened to drop it by mistake and not pick it up again, it'll always show up on the weapons rack back at the villa.
money can buy you almost anything.......but it can't buy what's most precious of all.......love.
I didn't know you could purposely drop your own weapon (I just put mine away and disarm the enemies). Thats actually pretty tight.

You can't drop it.
The OP probabaly does not have it equiped.
Go back to the mansion and go to the weapons room, arm Altair's sword.
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he is God.
The only thing I can think of that he might have done is brought or equiped another main weapon, I'm pretty sure the only weapons you can drop are ones you take from other people.

The heavy Guards can disarm you, it happened to me once, though I picked up my sword again.

It's not the old syrian sword. After you collect all 6 of the seals and get Altairs armor then you can buy it. It's name is literally 'Altairs Sword'

I could be wrong here.. but I THOUGHT I had Altair's Sword.. LONG LONG before I had the armor.. I could be remembering it wrong though.. but I ad all of the weapons except for one.. is there a weapon you have to earn rather then just buy? maybe something else that Leonardo has to make for you that I could have missed? I am missing ONE weapon.. I did all the fighting stuff at the villa.. but its driving me crazy.. have been going city to ciry and checking out all the blacksmiths but it says I own all of the weapons there.
Your own sword can be knocked out of your hand during a fight as well. You can pick it up again at the end of the fight, or if you forget, as stated, head back to the villa to get it back from your armory if you forget.

You get Altiar's sword by unlocking his armor after getting all the Assassin's tomb seals, not by buying it at the blacksmith.
And you can re-acquire it in the weapons room on the second floor of the villa along with any other weapon you have bought.
I was able to buy altair's sword from the blacksmith in villa after sequence 8 without unlocking altair armor, actually I had only one seal which was in my inventory...
shareYep I also bought it long before I got the armour. Oh, and someone else mentioned they're missing a weapon? I read that you have to collect a certain number of feathers to get it (50, I think, but I haven't done it myself so...)

I've never dropped my equiped sword during a fight..ever, I'm not saying it can't happen, it's just never happened to me.
What I think has happened is that the OP has completed the final assassination and not re-equiped it If you remember, Altair drops all his weapons to have a fist fight with Rodrigo. After that you have to re-equip the weapons you drop..
You can buy Altair's sword at any time and it isn't related to Altairs armour in any way, it costs around 45,000 florins though.
The other weapon is the 'Condottiero War Hammer' which is avaialable to buy once you've collected 50 feathers. The full 100 feathers gets you the Auditore cape. mmmmm, tastey.

maybe cause I'm just starting memory block 5 but damn that sounds like a ton. I also spend to much on the village I suppose. I need to start saving.

Upgrade the blacksmith's and it costs a lot less.
I must suck though, I've had Altair's sword knocked out of my hands at least three or four times. I think it's the Brutes or the Seekers that disarm though, and they're tough (for me at least, when they're in a group with other guards, because I have to use two separate strategies).
