LOL, I was thinking speed racer as well. yeah it could be like fast and the furious. it could also be like gone in 60 seconds too. who knows take any car movie and you would probably have a close guess.
i predict that it will be a dumbed down version of Days of Thunder, with a hint of 2fast 2furious and diluted with large helping of smokie and the bandit. with a dash of Love actually for good measure. ( yeah, just pulled a random movie out of my ass for the last one. HAHAHA)

I'm really interested in seeing this one.
I wonder how much of the movie is actually car riding/racing footage, and will Asylum use mostly stock footage or actually film all the action scenes themselves.
On THE ASYLUM site it states that after crashing his racer and paralyzing a child, a racer quits only to be sucked into a high stakes underground race. It sounds like The Fast and the Furious to me, but those movies sucked anyway so this could be a lot better.

with the low budget of the asylum i think not. at least those movies had decent race scenes
