This was called 'Stuck' when it was an original movie idea...

Check out the movie "Stuck" (2007). It was based in the same concept. "Stuck" recreates what was an actual event that occured several years ago. A young home-care worker hit a homeless man late one night. She actually drove home with him stuck in her windshield. She then proceeded to leave him in the garage, dying, while she figured out what to do. I won't tell you how it ended up, but it was definitely based on a very true event.

Considering Stuck was based on a true story, I wouldn't call it an original idea. At least not more of an original idea than this film, since once the woman hits the man with her car and takes him home, both films change what really happened.

Anyway, I enjoyed both films, but I liked Stuck better. Both endings were good, but I liked the way Stuck ended better than Hit And Run's conclusion!

The movie "Stuck" was inspired by true events as mentioned in earlier posts but went for entertainment value which I found to be a good choice. This movie "Hit and Run" is very loosely based on an urban legend of a person driving home late after drinking, thinking they hit an animal and find out it was actually a human being. They share similar concepts of a "vehicle hitting a person" but have very different directions in which they take the rest of the story.
