DVD release date?

Have they announced the DVD release date yet?

reply

Holy cow! They just finished shooting! They haven't even begun editing yet! Remember what Bruce Campbell said: "If you know your release date while you're shooting, you're NOT an independent picture."

reply

Well it took em only four weeks to make the first one, I just assumed they were that good.

reply

They are, but making a movie, especially an independent one, is an entirely different matter than finding a distributor. It has to be reasonably completed before it can be shown to prospective buyers. And even then, time can pass. SON OF RAMBOW was acquired by Paramount Vantage at the Sundance Film Festival in January of 2007, and doesn't hit theatres until this May--a full 16 months after the deal was signed, and close to three years after it was finished. So again, have a little patience. The wait will be worth it.

reply

Sorry. I was just trying to be funny.

reply

Ah, okay. Maybe a smiley face woulda helped!

reply

Doubt it. More than likely I'm just not as funny as I think.

reply

Except for Don Rickles, none of us are!

reply

I've been to two Don Rickles' performances. I was hoping to run into him after the show so he could call me a 'hockey puck'.

I'm easily amused.

Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle "Dixie"?

reply

but after all that, is there a release date YET? I know it took them a year to film Eraserhead, but John Waters once gave out advice to find a news story and have the film out before it's forgotten.

It doesn't have to look good, just be a riveting story.
