Larry Blamire has done it again!

What an amazingly strong follow-up film to his modern-classic. The laughs came a fast and furious and never let up. Everyone should see this terrific movie!

Hand puppets are down here.
Are you sure?
They're under the stairs, they aren't marionettes.

I will if given a chance. What city are you in?

Are you going to pull those pistols or whistle "Dixie"?

Strongly, I must concur.

I'm tempted to watch it again after just seeing it (have been skipping back to certain scenes)!

In my mind I could write in length a pitchfork-like review but I'm too scatterbrained and impatient to do so.

A huge sigh of relief after watching this, as someone else commented that it dragged in the middle like the first, but I didn't think so at all.

I had tears of laughter in some parts. My biggest worry was that there would be reliance of the "redundant humor" style from the first but there was more sophistication. There were some scenes where I was hoping the dialogue ended in the redundant humor but didn't unfortunately (like when Jungle Brad said something like "That was no truck"; I wish there was more to that)

But what a perfect sequel; "exotic" location, same cast PLUS all the additions were strong (Alison Martin was fantastic!), great pace...everything, just great! I'm so happy how it came out (not sure about going to color though...maybe it just added an extra unexpected element? To showcase the beauty? A Wizard of Oz sort of thing?)

I wish there was a DVD pack at Amazon for all the Blamire flix. I've only seen the Cadavras but need to get my hands on the rest.
I have a friend who practically forces us to watch LSoC whenever he brings new friends over.

I live in Chicago and would love to have some "Blamire night" at one of the theaters here. You can count on it being packed. Unless there already was one and I missed it; I hope not.

PLUS all the additions were strong (Alison Martin was fantastic!) >>> Really? I thought she was very distracting and out of place in the film. I didn't like her performance as Chinfa at all. The whole idea of the Cantaloupe People must have seemed wonderful on paper, but there was not a lot to their scenes that I actually liked. Of course, I won't go as far as saying they didn't have a few shining moments ("oh my god, we're surrounded!!"), but overall I felt the movie ground to a halt when we got to the Cantaloupe Temple.

I also wasn't very taken with Trish Geiger as Dr. Ellamy Royne either. Her deliveries just didn't seem right, and her whole spiel about the double negative began to wear thin way before it was over. Her best scene was when her character was replaced by a dummy for the Magroclop to swing around and kill.

Both Alison as Mrs. Cupcupboard and Trish as Jane Hovenham (the maid) were great in Dark and Stormy Night, but here they just didn't quite fit.

Whose idea was it for the word "Lisp" to have an "S" in it?

I felt this one fell a little flat. I loved the first one but this one was just ok.

I will say that it gets better on repeat viewings, though I didn't need that element to enjoy the first film completely the first time around.

Rocks! Filthy little things, really. But most of our civilization is built on them.
