I can't speak for ther veracity of others' accounts, but I'm real and I really enjoyed it. It's not great, but it's much better than the fare I've come to expect in the direct-to-dvd game. Luke Wilson is generally very likeable. David Koechner too. Nice to see Bob Gunton playing a (semi) decent guy for a change. Not a Gretchen Mol fan, but she's passable in this. Great turn by Rosmarie Dewitt (blink & you'll miss her almost).
This is one of the few reasons I still belong to Blockbuster. I like the exclusives. "Dead Snow" just came out today, and Blockbuster has had it for a while.
I work at a Blockbuster in Canada and have never heard of any store making a movie available before the release date. How does that work?

Someone asked about movies available before they are released in the stores. I had a friend several years ago who worked for a chain. She gave me some dvd's marked "screeners." The word even showed up on screen in some along with "not for sale" But I bought one on Ebay anyway, They warned up front it was a screener.
She said they were sent out by the makers to entice retailers to stock the movies. Some even had a discount list if you took ten of them.
Most were not very good and straight to dvd without being in a theatre.
