It was a bad movie, but I was laughing at the fact that on the map the Appalachian mountains were underwater, yet you could see the statue of liberty in New York.
- the peak of the Appalachians is over 6,000 feet; while the statue is at sea level; you can see the problem with a 6,000 foot mountain underwater, and 100 and something foot statue only submerged to the waste.
- also if you read the faqs, in a worse case scenario, the maximum water levels can rise is around 70 meters, or around 210 feet; so once again a 6,000 foot mountain would not be underwater

Just for kicks a googled and found this site, which explains some of the questions people might have if they see this movie.
