Let me preface this by saying that I am a HUGE Kristy Wu fan, I think she is one of the most beautiful, TALENTED, underrated and under-used actresses out there so I was really looking forward to seeing something new from her.
I went in a bit skeptical because of the title but Kristy is such an amazing actress that I was hoping for the best.
The writing was just AWFUL, the whole story was so predictable. I wasn't impressed with the directing either. (I won't even go into the cheesy special effects or some of the wooden performances).
I think Kristy did the best she could with what she was given (which wasn't much). This was just sooo far below her talent. On the plus side, she did look really beautiful in it...
You may see it and like it, that's cool. This is just one person's opinion.
And to 'mrjgman', it is definitely NOT like 'Wendy Wu: Homecoming Warrior'. ('Wendy Wu' had a much better script and effects).

thats sad to hear. I too am a HUGE Kristy Wu fan, that's the only reason i'll be watching it.

It's worth watching to see Kristy and then you can judge for yourself.
This is such a waste of her talent.
Parts of it can be almost enjoyable as I do like this genre. The plot is just so thin and predictable and the dialogue is really bad in places as are the 'special effects'.

To be honest, I thought it was okay. The directing, writing and the special effects, could've been better. Okay, a lot better. I only watched it for Kristy Wu and Anthony Wong (say what you want, I think he's a good actor) I was able through sit through it and survive.

I haven't seen the film yet, but I plan too since Casper Van Dien is in it.

It's a made for TV film guys, don't expect a big budget movie with a big talented cast, just a couple casper and wu.

One afwfull movie.
But..........................that is my opinion.

Exactly.
In the end it felt more like a bad imitation of Samurai Girl (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1091234/) with lots of unecessarily graphic violence and gore thrown in for good measure. Doesn´t help that while it only runs for 90 minutes the whole thing feels stretched as if it´s ten hours.
