A movie is for entertainment & sometimes emotional movies can be extremely satisfying. This movie looked slightly trying to cash in on a condition which some people have to go through.
Neither this movie teaches you much about the disease nor about the human emotions during the condition. It looks half-hearted in everything except action by Hillary swank...She herself would know that final product is not that good.
If anything at some points I felt that movie was saying ,non-victims are all ass**** because they do not know the pain of the suffering.
During the movie, I had only one feeling, that I am lucky I am alive because I could not have gone through all that. The movie failed to give any hope since I am with the same feeling when movie has ended.
I love such types of movies but this movie failed to tear me up which happens much more easily most times.
I hope people could find a cure for the disease.

No, of course I know about the disease and I know it is a very tragic disease and to have an end which is not in line with reality will be pure cheating..what I am saying is that at many times the product looked unfinished, rushed or too complex.
It seems to me that this movie is made or will be liked more by people who have seen this disease closely or relatively closely.
I cannot point it out exactly but let me just say that this movie was not able to satisfy me and it slightly left me in lurch and it might be completely just my thing, but when people will watch it in the long run, let us say 5 years, then I will know if my feelings were true.

You make a good point chrismackey... about the movie being made 2 years ago and being released now because of...
oh wait... it's not because of the Ice Bucket Challenge ( which almost killed a baby )
They were waiting for Oscar season to bring this movie out.
Let's be hones here... it was a TV movie at best... but on steroids because of the excellent acting by Hilary Swank.
She wants an Oscar hat-trick, and playing someone with a degenerative disease is the one trick she hasn't used yet...
- playing opposite gender? Oscar
- female being no 1 in a male dominated sport? Oscar
- degenerative disease? Oscar

It might have been Oscar bait but I think the movie never got a wide release.

Its that man again!!
