Hilary is always glorious. Emily needs some acting classes.

Nuf said. Just my opinion but talk about chewing the scenery.... Emily, you are doing the same character as your Showtime series, calm down! Learn form a two time Oscar winner, chill, listen, stop trying to steal EVERY scene, I actually blame the director on this one, she probably just needed different direction. Oh well... still love watching Hilary do her thing.

Yeah.... whatever.

Emily was great, you clearly have issues with her.

The real problem was Josh Duhamel!

who is emily???

Maybe the op is talking about Emily Hoang, although why a production assistant would "need some acting lessons" is a puzzler.

I think you are being a little harsh. I was pretty shocked at the complexity of emotions being portrayed convincingly by this cast. Swank was straight up brilliant. She seems to be able to tell more without saying a word than most actresses can with a page of dialogue. And Rossum was able to share the screen with Hilary for two hours and hold her own. I think that is pretty impressive.

Yeah how many times can we keep blaming the director for her though. She was awful in Phantom of the Opera...no acting, just sitting and staring with her pretty face, sometimes with tears.

So to me, seeing her here...I'm like aw...look...now she's added some expressions to her repertoire...but I'm still not convinced at all. This time she was overdoing it.

But she still is very pretty lol!

Another stupid thread from you, "groovyroom"! SIGH. Like you could do a better job! Yeah, rightttttt! Stop criticizing others unless you can do better! And I very much doubt that you can!

Emmy had a special challenge because she really needed to know Hillary's lines pretty well also to react. I think she did well enough. The issue is the movie is a little cliche - her character being the wild child that learns from the refined lady.

But it's hard to act off of someone is cant speak well, or move, challenging. Actors lead each other, feed each other, and if your counterpart is motionless, can barely speak, that's tough theater. They also had to work extremely close physically. Very challenging.
