Slight Lesbian subtext? (the conversation on the bed)

Was I the only one expecting a kiss between Galia and Elinor after the hospital scene, when they were talking on Galia's mattress?

The whole thing went on for so long and they got so close to each other that it seemed like it was building up to that.
Also the nature of their friendship wasn't as defined at that point, so I wouldn't have been surprised if the film had taken a romantic turn then and there.

Not that I'm unhappy with the way the movie progressed from there on, but it would have been an interesting alternative...
