Ending Sucked

Not realistic.
We're talking about an Israeli bus station here folks.
The police would be crawling all over the place within seconds of the sound of gunfire.

Yeah, it was an enjoyable film up to that head scratching ending. Your right, but I would also add this. Did it make any logical sense that they simply went and got on another bus? How about maybe heading to a hospital? I don't know, if it was me I would think going to a hospital for medical treatment would seem like kind of a neat idea at this point. It seemed as if they had an idea of the outcome, but just could not really figure out how to get to that outcome in a proper way.

The last scene reminded me of Midnight Cowboy, I almost expected to hear "Everybody's Talkin" play out the credits lol.

reply

They got the best ending they could. It's a film, not a documentary.

Lol and pay the medical bills how? More importantly, how would she even make it through recovery without being taken out by whoever steps up as the new boss, if the one she killed was even the big guy in town. She'd be in there for quite some time and have multiple murders pinned on her including the jobs she did for the mafia if the police do their job right.

Think long term, not just the immediate medical attention. As for the lack of police and whatnot I totally agree, even though it was still enjoyable.

If you nailed jesus christ to the cross and are 100% proud of it, put this in your signature.

As for medical bills, Israel has free health care to citizens, so it might do the same for foreigners, anyway they're not just gonna let her die. And she pretty much killed everyone who knew about her I think, so she is safe is that aspect. The only crimes she can be linked to were the ones in the bus station and her apartment. She ditched the gun from the "jobs". The only question is if barbie is still alive and can implicate her. I think the other stuff she would get off with. And besides being in police custody and or prison is better than being dead.

Ending reminded me of Carlito's Way.

"I do the work of the devil, I'ma Hell of a guy"

reply

yeah but i'm not mad at it.

reply

Did the other woman meet her daughter, at the end. So confusing.

reply

No, we are meant to believe that it was just a dream/vision she was having while she was dying. I really wanted Olga Kurylenko's character to return home and reunite with her daughter in the end, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. That's kind of what soured the ending for me and not necessarilly details like the lack of police. Nevertheless I found it to be a great and very deep film though.

The ending was sad when Galia got killed and dies in Elinor's arms, never reuniting with her daughter.
