BORING!One of the worst movies ever made!

This movie is totally boring and it has no sense at all. I don't know
why it's described as "moving" on the poster. Maybe it moves you to go
to sleep. It is the slowest movie ever. And believe me...really -
there's no sense at all in it! I've seen a lot of movies and I'm a fan
of all kind of dramas. But this one - it's not even a drama. It's
nothing. It's just a slow and boring nothing. The acting was awful,too.
I'm disappointed for losing my time on this. You'd better not lose
yours! This is probably one of the worst movies ever made.

Saying "This is probably one of the worst movies ever made" immediately makes you lose your credibility. Sorry.

I thought it was a good film but a little slow in places.

I liked the film and didn't find it at all boring. Of course I have seen better drama films in my time but this one probably deserves more credit than it seems to be getting.

I probably wouldn't go out of my way to watch this again. But, I found it perfectly watchable... An interesting portrait of a life-long friendship and a troubled youth... You can tell the budget wasn't huge and the non-professional actors are, occasionally, a little wooden. But, the teenagers, in particular, are very good and I quite liked it.

Amazing, fabulous, interesting. Intelligent, heartbreaking, marvelous.
I was speechless. I understand, why Bobby said, that it's probably his
best film. It isn't probably. It is his best film. I will never forget
on this film and will soon watch it again. It was slow, but plot needed
it. I didn't mind it. I enjoyed it fully. More films like this should
be made. Intelligent drama full of emotions.

Well, if your not into slow dramas, I guess I understand why you might find "Summer" boring, however I personally very strongly disagree with you.

Yes, the story moves slowly. This is not an action movie. It's a gritty, realistic, and very touching drama about a life long friendship and a troubled youth. The script is clearly very well written, and the characters are portrayed very well, especially Robert Carlyle and Steve Evets deliver stunning performances.

Personally I thoroughly enjoyed this movie very much, and if I come across it on DVD it definitely goes in my collection for an occasional re-watch.
