Anurag Basu is one of the best directors out there. Gangster and Life in a metro are 2 great movies with superb direction and storylines. Coming to Kites i went to theatre twice only because of Anurag Basu and i was totally satisfied. What else do you want in a film the direction is excellent, acting good, screenplay great.... and the ending is awesome. It has 82% rating on RT. But the low rating on Imdb is beyond me....
shareAmerican here. I AGREE! I watched it twice in the theater and just rented it agian. Great cinematagraphy The story unfolded with plenty of mystery and intrigue so as to keep one's interest. The color, the beauty! Barbara Mora can really act. Look how popular she is in Mexico, Central American, etc. And Hrithik -- very fun to watch.

As to the low rating on imdb, don't you think there's NRI and western haters on the Indian cinema board?

glad to hear praise for this movie. and yes i guess the NRI and western haters brought the rating down but what bugs me is that this was a terrible failure in India. It took them 2 years to finish this project and it aired on tv after less than 4 weeks of its release.
