Worst Week...More Like....

Worst half hour on television. I laughed only at the ridiculousness of the plot. There's no way the writers will be able to keep this up for 21 more episodes.

I hope that this doesn't replace Rules of Engagement. It's a poor follow-up to the extremely funny Two-and-a-Half Men

reply

rules of engagement? 2.5 men? worst week? all 3 of these shows should get cancelled...

reply

Weird I actually like 2 and a half men and Rules of Engagement. This show Worst Week is pretty lame.

reply

Cancel 2.5 men. If you cancelled the most watched Comedy on TV you would be the biggest moron alive. I actually like Rules of Engagement, but I can't stand The New Adventures of Christine or Gary Unmarried.

reply

Yep, WORST WEEK has cancellation written all over it. I actually feel badly for Kurtwood Smith. He's better than playing straight man to Kyle Bornheimer's, "Sam", which is nothing more than a grating, one-note Jack Black impersonation.

reply

Agree with all replies to this.. None of the programs mentioned are worth air time. After being Red Foreman I don't see how Kurtwood Smith could accept this role, he is TOOOOOO good for it. If you haven't seen Corner Gas on WSN at 12AM EDT you should check it out, refreshing humor and most of all NO LAUGH TRACK.

reply

Ugh! That's the another thing that I can't about WORST WEEK... all that ridiculous, "zany" music that's played behind the majority of whatever action is taking place onscreen. Aside from being annoying, it would be entirely unnecessary in a better show.

reply

I love Worst Week. I really enjoyed the pilot, and I thought this second episode was even better. It settles into its groove, really improves upon the character dynamics, and made me laugh out loud multiple times. I suppose it all comes down to personal preference, but everyone in my office has been watching it and really likes it, and it's that along with How I Met Your Mother that everyone talks about on Tuesday mornings now. ;)

Plus, I'm really liking Kyle Bornheimer as Sam. He's got a cute sort of desperation throughout each episode, really draws me in.

reply

I like it as well. It's predictable, but the laughs are there. I think the writers should try a more wilder approach so the situations wouldn't be too obvious.

Weird is the new normal.

Meet the parents.

reply

So what if it resembles meet the parents/fockers, it's a decent plot! Kyle is incredible well-suited for this role, really love the guy. I laughed hard at the boner joke in ep2, maybe that says alot about me, but I totally didn't see that coming :D The lack of a laugh track is great, if we could just permanently remove the laughtrack from all shows that would be great.

The only thing i don't enjoy as much is that it's pretty obvious what is going to happen. It gets to the point where when he picks up a vase you just think to yourself "wonder who gets that in their head", because _everything_ that is mentioned in the show is used in some way later for a gag.

Absolutely loved the scene where Sam tried the breastpump, the acting was very honest.

reply

haha i think its funny because its so ridiculous. i havent seen a show so obvious in awhile. maybe its because i have such a crude sense of humor. for all the people who dont like it... lighten up! turn the channel.

reply

yes i agree with the previous post so what if its like Meet the parents. The show is still funny. I think has great potentail it has a great time slot. the only concern I have is what on earth can do for a second season??

Really? Cancel everything you said plus that retarded My Name Is Earl and Big Bang Theory. Worst Week is a HILARIOUS show and the writers are EXTREMELY clever! Many times, things are mentioned in the beginning of the episode but turn out to be important plot points. I hate those stupid shows that turn out to be extremely predictable and stupid. Worst Week is one of my favorite shows. Worst Week and The Office are the only 2 shows that I actually watch and I think are funny. Everything else sucks on TV

reply

Worst Week and How I Met Your Mother are the only good shows on CBS

Full Screen DVDS Should Be Illegal and All DVDs Need English Subtitles

I am sorry but this is the most ridiculously predictable show ever. Anytime anything is mentioned, especially if it has any kind of value, sentimental or otherwise, it gets destroyed by that Sam dude. Very predictable, quite stupid. The only reason it even stays on at my house is because, unfortunately, it falls between 2.5 Men and CSI: Miami.

dfihoefaefiph;
My name is earl is one of the best shows ever made you are probebly one of those idiots who watch two and a half men and laugh hysterically you are an idiot and you have just discouraged me from watching this show granted that it is probebly the biggest piece of trash ever broadcast on tv. The fact that My name is Earl had an amazing script amazing cast and a amazing soundtrack and still got canned, while we get to watch that obnoxious little bastard on two and a half men grow up to be an older obnoxious bastard, idiots like you watch these shows so the laugh track can tell you when your suppose to laugh
