HIGHLY DISAPPOINTING

I just finished watching this film, I must say I really HATED Jamie Foxx's acting in this film - I didn't find him believable AT ALL. the story is completely impossible - the whole time I kept thinking to myself "this would never happen".

the scene where Jamie's character goes and violates the law and illegally searches Gerard Butler's property is laughable. anyone who knows something about law knows that this is illegal and if something were found and brought to the court the judge would not allow it - so yes his civil rights were violated.

I was actually cheering for Gerard's character and I was highly disappointed that NOT ONCE did Jamie's character sympathize with the guy.

once again I HATED Jamie's performance - soo bad.

>>> SPOILER ALERT <<<

Yes, I too was rooting for Clyde (Gerard Butler) while Nick (Jamie Foxx) left me feeling cold and resenting him... he showed no warmth or compassion towards Clyde at any stage that I can recall.

Let's face it... someone as smart as Clyde would not have left a trail for ANYONE to follow and discover his plans.

The ending was very poor. The story starts going south and becoming wildly unbelievable from the time Nick receives an email from Chester (who we never see) and just gets worse.
WTF... Chesters girlfriend dies and he decides to send Nick an email that proves to be the key to uncovering and unraveling Clydes whole operation... 👎🙍 ... UNLIKELY !!!

The writers/director have a lot to answer for, in my opinion, for ruining a great movie with that ending.

Both of you couldn't be more right.

If I had millions to throw away I would get them all back together and film a different last act. I wouldn't be able to replace Jamie Foxx though as that would be a huge waste of time.

Whoever test screened this movie seriously dropped the ball. Nobody was rooting for Jamie Fox. Nobody believes he could out smart the best of the best "brain" either. He was an unlikeable character that never progressed to be anything more than an even more unlikeable character. Even a robot could've empathized with Gerard Butler more than he did as well.

Thaaaaank you guys!
I'm glad to know I wasn't the only rooting for Clyde and hating Nick...
I really enjoyed the middle part of the movie, but the final part, baaah!

How did you rate it?

Holy Crap I agree so much with you guys! This movie could have been great like Se7en, but has a totally crap ending. It reminds me of the house on haunted hill, good movie with a crap ending. Total drop of the proverbial ball.
