This movie makes me rage!!!

It had so much potential leasing up to the third act, but F Gary dumbass gray screwed it up. This is the worst movie where the ending was garbage. I'm rooting for Clyde the whole movie because this movie touched upon how the justice system is flawed. Jamie Foxx's character not only is a dick, kills Clyde, shows little to no remorse over his friends that are killed, BUT IS NOT SORRY FOR MAKING EVIL PLEA DEALS JUST TO GET A HIGH CONVICTION RATE. In the end Jamie Foxx's character still believes that he is doing a great job and will continue to do so. Ridiculous I mean what is the freakin moral of the story of this movie?

Came here to say the same thing but u said it better

Yeah I wanted Clyde to win like the bad guys won in Arlington Road. I wanted him to kill everyone and get away with it all.

I agree with you, i love the movie but the ending sucks, i know they do the good triumphing over bad for a reason but i think they got confused over who the bad guy was here. That smarmy ass lawyer putting his conviction rate over justice and allowing that father to suffer while making deals to get what he wants is wrong, how about putting some effort into the job and winning the right way, then Clyde wouldn't have had to have done this. They could have ended this so much better but its like they got so far and then just gave up trying. Still a great movie but the ending really needs redone.

When I saw this shortly after its release, I hated the ending. I think most people would find themselves rooting for Clyde throughout. Foxx never comes through as sympathetic. The movie was so dark, they should have just gone with a dark ending where Clyde kills everyone and walks away.

I just watched this for a second time and the ending actually bothers me less. While I was still rooting for Clyde, he had to be stopped. He killed A LOT of innocent people and tried to kill even more. He truly was the villain of the story, just a sympathetic one.

It made sense. The prosecutor was choosing the lesser of two evils: either get the plea deal and short sentence, or try to fight in court and risk losing and the bad guy walking away. There was no evidence besides the witness testimony from Clyde. The killers' lawyer could have swayed the jury by digging up Clyde's dark military past and saying he got crazy and killed his own family.

Agree, killing at the end was too much, but for a different reason. Since they could move the bomb, they should have just moved it to a bomb disposal site. What they did was a pure crime that wasn't even necessary at that point. With so many witnesses seeing the bomb, the prosecutor would easily get convicted.

Dang it son, I was so into this movie thinking finally a revenge movie with intellect and out of this world devices. It was going so smoothly, I wanted Clyde to kill off every one involved in his pain, especially that Mayor with the superiority complex and then Jamie Foxx's bumbling DA bafoon. AND then the unthinkable happens to Clyde. I was so POed, because there was no way in hell that Jamie Foxx could out fox Clyde in real life.....I was going to recommend this film to my friends, but I will save them the agony and sorrow that I am feeling as of now. 😭😭😠😠😡
