You've got a point, kind of hard for a film to gain an audience otherwise.
You're being charitable in your description of the cover art. And as much as I like Tom Berenger, putting his face front and center (his is a supporting role) on the dvd cover is a marketing ploy worthy of Roger Corman himself.
