Ali wants to be Homeschooled because the Other Girls are 'Mean'?

Thats sad.
All Girls have school issues.
Also I would assume she would be cool coz shes rich and famous and that is basically what freshmen care about yeah?

And some girls at her school made a video that they said they hated her. But that's fame. She has to get used to the fact that not everyone is going to be huge fans. Dina got the girls suspended! If someone from idk....Wisconsin made a video like that she wouldnt be looking them up to get them in trouble. you would think that after lindsay, dina would get used to the fact that not everyone is going to love her daughter.

reply

Don't forget that Linds went through the same thing as well!!!

reply

exactly! dina should have learned by now.

nah i live in long island and heard shes transferring to our lady of mercy which is an all girls catholic highschool. my friend goes there and said ali had a meeting w/ the princible to attend next year for 10th.

I don't know.. maybe were not seeing the whole picture here. I'm not a big fan of Ali, but girls CAN be really mean.. if Ali's so upset to the point where she wants to leave her bestfriends and go to another school, then it must be bad, because I'd never go to a different school then my bestfriends unless it something really, really horrible.

I say what I want. I do what I want. I get what I want. End of story.

I think that is the main problem. She probably does not have a lot of close good friends at the school. If she did, she wouldnt be run out by the few mean girls. I think she was probably obnoxious to enough kids that she does not have anyone to watch her back now.

When someone is being bullied you can't say that they must have provoked it or done something to deserve it. Bullying is wrong. Girls Ali's age can be horrible and let's face it, the Lohan family have given the mean girls a lot of amunition. I dont blame Ali for wanting to get out of there. And if she's going to be going to Vegas to record and work on a movie or whatever she'd probably fall behind in normal school.

That's not the point, even if she is totally full of herself it doesn't give other girls the right to bully her.

reply

You are so right; I agree....bullying is beyond wrong. Also, its a form of abuse. Just because she is Lindays sister and has fame does not give anyone the right to abuse her. Let the girl live her life and do life with the cards shes dealt with. As I saw in this past episode, she was hurt by something her friend said to a tabloid. She has her own struggles, just different from most. Let the girl be...she has a right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness...

Well you are basically saying she has it coming, so that is what I am talking about.

Bullying can have devastating effects on a person regardless of their social status or whatnot :) There is a term used 'bullycide' which is when a person is bullied to the point of being depressed and then tragically ends their life. This is a website started by a mother of a middle school boy that took his own life due to being bullied: http://www.jaredstory.com

The site youtube.com also has "wanda's song" which is a song written about bullycide.

Here's my whole view on this: I was bullied. The "popular" girl's tormented me, called me names, and teased me relentlessly. Did they get expelled? No, nor do I believe they should have. They made me cry, they made me angry, they made me want to do something about it, and I did. I discovered that I was so much more intelligent and mature than they were and that I could be strong in spite of their pettyness. Children and cruel, stupid, and ignorant and should be punished to be sure, but suspension is an action that should be used for more serious infractions.

reply

In my school you can get suspended for bullying people.

and then we marry them or drown ourselves"

Yes, I understand that, but physical and verbal violence are two very different things. I know that verbal abuse over a long period of time can be detrimental to a child's psyche, but verbal abuse cannot be equated with say punching someone or beating them up. A person's mind is far more resilient than their body.

It's actually thought that verbal and emotional abuse can be far more scarring than physical abuse since the physical bruises tend to heal. Megan Meier, who was 13 years old at the time, was cyberbullied (bullied online) by a disturbed former friend's mother and tragically ended her life. She did have a history of depression and add (attention deficit disorder) which I'm sure complicated matters, but it was all psychological and emotional bullying. There's a foundation set up by Megan's mother to bring awareness to cyberbullying: http://www.meganmeierfoundation.org

Bullying is wrong and there is no excuse for it but at the same time, she wants to be famous. If she cracks under this pressure, maybe she can't handle it.

Unfortunately, strangers do have the best candy

reply

homeschooled?
that's a cheap copout.

reply

Walking aw from bullying is a cop-out? No, it's called strength. I gave up a chance to go to middle school with my best friends because I had heard horror story after horror story about the school I was assigned to, so I decided to homeschool. Am I weak for not wanting to be abused? No. It mean sthat I am crafty. =)

You have been Skadooshed!

Yeaa..and ur point is? I am homeschooled because girls were mean? WOOPY FRICKIN DO!!! it is sad that u care about it! lol. ALI IS AWESOME :)

reply

I understand that all girls are mean, but this is a different kind of mean. Taylor Swift went through it too & so did Demi Lavato. Theyre being mean because her sister is Lindsay and because she is somewhat famous. Girls will be even meaner if they know that you can get ahead of them.
