This Actually IS a Made for TV Movie

Let's set our expectations accordingly. The movie was fun. Let's all calm down.

Thank you. I totally agree. I found it to be entertaining enough and fun.

The fact that this actually is a made for TV movie begs to be repeated here. No one here invested money to see this film, no one was held hostage in front of their televisions.

I'm not getting the hatement. It was a fun movie to watch on a sunday/monday night in January.

For all the sports fan out there, it's like Allen Iverson's moment when he got called out for missing a practice. "We're talking about PRACTICE, man" Watch it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=frsId3goYYE&feature=related

I didn't hate it, we watched the whole thing. You just have to laugh at some of the funny things. Why can't we have enjoyed and laughed at the same time?

I think a lot of the 'hate', mine included, comes from disappointment. This could have been a very decent project if it had only been well-written, if the dialogue hadn't been so godawful.

All the other elements were fine, the actors, the direction, the source material. It should have added up to a decent romp/adventure, but the writing just kills it, every other line is a completely clunker. Such a shame.
