Action moments were all badly inserted!

Ok, so if we ignore the major downfall of this movie, which was to change the ending from the book to make Catholics happy, then the next worse part has to be the action sequences that were also added at the last second.

These scenes that were added really made me laugh and want to turn the channel.

jousting with a priceless artifact in your cocktail dress scene
The Sewer gang fight scene
Exploding car in the desert scene. (two cars hit, one explodes?)
the cave in scene and the whole underground cavern leading up to that.
The artifact retrieval in the middle of a huge storm scene
The impossibly large wave scene.
the weird argument fight leading to the one guy falling off the cliff scene

I am sure I am leaving out a few, but these were probably the worst examples of how filmmakers should not try to add action to the script after the fact.

also, it wasn't really an action scene, but what was with the car breaking down in one scene and then working fine in the next? Did I miss something or was it just an excuse for a desert sex scene?

In the book, a tire goes flat, and they must stop and make camp. In turn, they have an intimate outing.. only I pictured them being in a tent seeing as they packed one.

All in all you're just a nother brick in the wall.

Oh ok, I thought they busted an axle like the FBI guy said she was going to do.
