Scientology really needs to grow up
first they go after anyone who bad mouths Scientology and now they make a movie about how "evil" psychiatry is they are the ones who really need to go to a psychiatrist.
Yeah, it's pretty bad. I'm seriously stunned that this blatantly manipulative garbage is currently rated 6.2. I mean, even the historical facts it presents only serve to prop up the movie's ignorant agenda, so it doesn't have any real educational value whatsoever. It's just ill-informed and cringeworthily obvious propaganda.

shareI don't know about the movie. But psychiatry is bullsh&t regardless. It really isn't a question and it really isn't up for debate. To accept psychiatry as science is to consider caffeine disorder, math disorder, spelling disorder, etc. as valid mental illnesses. It's to accept that if rates of "discovering" mental illnesses were to continue, there would be more mental illnesses than known mental states. It's to accept that scientific theories are made theories because people "vote" on them being that way (a concept so ridiculous to any scientist that this information alone immediately indicates pseudoscience).
I don't think scientologists need to grow up. I think psychiatry needs to be immediately reformed or else suspended entirely. Everything in the DSM is thrown into question. When the majority of people consider something authoritative that clearly should not be, corruption is not far. And we see this already with the very high revenues of drug companies and psychiatrists.
Scientologists need to grow up? Absolutely not. This is one matter in which they're spot on. More people need to stand up against this immoral corrupt engine that psychiatry has become.

yes people are being over medicated i'll give you that but there are a lot of people out there helped by psychiatry, i think you are a scientologist and that's why you don't like psychiatry

This means it doesn't matter what the patient says regarding how stupid the "doctor" is being since the patient doesn't have a Ph.D. It's really sick.
