In the pilot, Patty makes a reference to a church at 6 Mile & Dequindre which is in Detroit.

when people say "the eastside of Detroit" that usually includes the burbs that are east of the city.
but anyway, not to over analyze this TOO much, but in the episode where the daughter sneaks off to Canada, they say they have to "take 1-94 to the Lodge to the tunnel." If they lived on the eastside of the metro area they would take 94 to I-75 which would drop them off onto 375 onto Jefferson.
taking the Lodge only makes sense if you are coming from the westside.
.. of course show writers make tons of mistakes so this could mean absolutely nothing :)
did anyone else pick up on any other clues? share
I think its lazy writing. They wouldn't drive from 12th & I-94 to 6 mile & Dequindre to go to church. Anyway that area around I-94 is tore up ghetto!
