I see why the ratings are so low...

I didn't hate this movie. I thought it was very entertaining.

However, this was messily made. The story, while interesting, was really shallow and thin. I couldn't and can't understand why Charlie was so naive and foolish. He made many, many poor decisions and I can't believe that a human being would have such bad judgement time after time after time.

My biggest problem was not with Charlie, or the script, or even the acting.

It was how perfectly the chain of events fell into place. It felt unnatural. I get that it's a movie and some things are meant to be the way they are for arts sake but this was too much. This movie failed in my eyes.

On a positive note: the music was great and so was the cinematography. And it certainly was original. Not a bad movie but not great either.
