not trying to pull the race card or anything but does anybody know if there will be a guitar hero or a rockband that plays more than just....rock. dont get me wrong its a fun game to play but when growing up listening to old skool hip hop and r&b, its kinda hard trying to read the word on the screen and sing them on key. i'm quite sure im not the only one here that has the same question stuck in their head right now...

And the bass can only be used in jazz. and only opera has singing.
Seriously, it's one thing to make fun of something for wanting something other than rock in Rock Band, but Guitar Hero is far from rock exclusive. I wouldn't be surprised if something hip-hop related was already in development.

That's an...odd...post. Um, folk and flamenco DO use guitar -- just a different style. And it SHOULD be obvious that more than just opera has singing.

The website for the above video is part of a soundtrack from an anime. I think the two main instruments are guitar and violin (or maybe it's a fiddle?). It probably wouldn't be that fun to play on GH, but it's proof that more than just rock music uses guitar.
It would have been more correct to say that GH focuses on a style of music that would be most fun to PLAY -- not LISTEN TO (that, by the way, is a matter of opinion on which style you prefer to listen to, since I don't really like hip hop unless it's mixed with rock).
What would you do in Guitar Hero R&B? There's not a lot of heavy guitar or drums (osn't listen to the style, so don't know it well). Same with Guitar Hero Hip Hop. Honestly, it seems pretty boring to me.
