OK, this is a stupid question likely. It may be answered within the game, but I cannot find it.
Now that I've moved on to hard, I'm coming across places in some songs (Rebel Yell for example) where the entire yellow lane of the highway lights up and I cant seem to play anything other than yellow. I get booed offstage.
Any help would be appreciated.
Your guitar may be suffering from a hardware problem if it specifically appears in 'certain' places (purple rope solos?). One suggestion would be to possibly trade your old guitar for a new one at your local video game store, but it may still cost a little bit of money.

It really looks to be part of the game to me. A yellow outline goes around the yellow lane, and a translucent yellow box goes around it. Then all I can play is yellow notes for a bit. And it always comes in the same places on the same songs.
I think it's part of the game, but cant find anything searching online.
