Is it worth getting? I loved guitar hero 3, love rock band, but i hate world tour with a passion.

It's definitely worth it. I also loved GH3 and didn't like WT that much. Metallica makes World Tour seem completely worthless. It's funner, longer (so it seems, their songs average 6-7 minutes), and harder.

well i went out on a limb and bought metallica. i must say activision definitely redeemed themselves from the abomination that was guitar hero: world tour.
if there are any others who aren't sure as to whether they should buy it or not, i would recommend to buy it.
I completely agree. I liked WORLD TOUR (it was ok; nowhere near GH3), it was hands down better than Rock Band 2 which was a massive letdown. But GH: Metallica makes every other music game look whimpy and worthless in comparison. There will never be a rythm game that matches it sadly. The sequel to world tour and RB3 have a lot of ground to make up if they even consider trying to catch up with it.
