Characters, wardrobes etc...

I don't understand what the big deal is with creating a "custom character" in these games. When you're playing the game you're not watching them, you're watching the notes that you need to play. When you're playing with a full band you can't really see the characters anyway.

I'd rather see more time and effort put into the music than the ability to create something you really can't pay much attention to while playing.
