Please, NO PARAMORE, NO RJA, NO Linkion Park

Come on guys, leave these pop, teenage beepbop, fake rock using dj equipment groups to Rock band and thier TRL songs. Do NOT sell out. Stick to your reputation of playing real rock music. Thanks

I wasn't too proud of those bands in the game either, they don't seem to fit the game.

Paramore and Linkin Park deserve a place in the game way more than, say, Anouk, Willie Nelson, or Los Lobos.

I don't see where all the hate for Paramore, especially, is coming from. Yeah, they're overrated. That doesn't mean they're not good.

reply

I would love to see more Paramore. Their song structures are very good, as well as all the instrumentals.

When we don't know who to hate, we hate ourselves.

These are just things that you've gotta get used to since Harmonix took Rock Band and activision took this.

the song lists in GHIII were not that great either compared to the first two. I mean Disturbed? Slopknit? Some of them were great, sure, like Cities on Flame. Some of them sucked donkey dick.

Sure, I hated Linkin Park in there. But the reason Activision are putting these bands, crappy as they are, in there, is that Guitar Hero's gotten popular. It's not just the fans of rock that are playing it anymore. It's everyone in general.

That explains Willie Nelson in there. There's a ton of country fans in there that appreciate him. I appreciate it. I mean I feel bad for old Willie after he got in all that trouble over tax evasion, and I hope this boosts some popularity for him. I just wish they would've gotten Johnny Cash in there too.

And Los Lobos, and other bands of different cultures being in there, that's because GH is going global. They've got to have European and Latin songs in there to get that audience.

And it's not just Guitar Hero though, Rock Band 2's setlist is compromised compared to the first game, as they've now got Disturbed, Linkin Park, and Rise Against, where nothing good can be said for them except they're popular. Even the AC/DC song they FINALLY get is not what I would consider close to their best work.

It's good and bad in ways. It means that more games like this will be produced for a long time, but it's bad that expanding the setlist means there'll be more songs we don't like.

"Hey, can I keep one of her tits?"

Guitar Hero needs more thrash metal, death metal, power metal, and progressive metal.

There is way more crap on GH than paramore and linkin park...I wish they had included an Evanescence song as well...but what can you do...

reply

All the metal songs suck arse. I mean Korn? What the bloody Hell is that about? Activision should seriously make a Britpop version of Guitar Hero. That would be awesome.

i love guitar hero...but those heavy metal songs bore me....since there is such a wide varity of people playing this game maybe they should just some out with different versions. like a metal version, pop version, country version, rock etc.....the only problem with that is everyone would call the game a sell out....so there is no winning....maybe we should just stop complainging

To answer your question hellalluj i think rja is red jumpsuit apparatus.

I'm gonna go get the papers get the papers.

Britpop will never happen because nobody gives a sh!t about it. GUITAR Hero, you sorta need good guitar to make the game fun.

Once again, Britpop = *beep*

Well I think some of those songs should be in the next Guitar Hero in place of the long, boring ones (Stranglehold and Jessica ) or the shïtty metal ones. (Korn, System Of A Down etc)

Yer sure SOME of them but the things like SOAD are much more guitar orientated hence the name GUITAR hero but i agree on the stranglehold and stuff they wernt needed they were way to long

reply

Yeah, I would like some of them in the next Guitar Hero (especially if it's going to be a Rock The 90's).

I've heard a couple of Stone Roses songs, they were okay. Oasis suck dick, Blur are okay and I haven't heard any of the other stuff.

And the main problem with a britpop GH is that it wouldn't be fun. You remember how easy She Bangs The Drums was, even on expert. I don't think I would be able to survive a whole game of that.

I'd find it fun. Especially if Animal Nitrate is involved.

She Bangs The Drums is one of the easier songs. Love Spreads was a lot harder in my opinion.

I like seeing songs I like in the game, but I care more about whether or not that song is fun to play. There's no point if my favorite song isn't fun.

I might look like I'm doing nothing,
