...bring in rik mayall, add lots of mindless violence and then this program will be funny.

I seem to remember The Young Ones doing a skit on the kind of bland American sitcom that had an inane laughter track like this one - had Mayall and Edmondson been dead in 1982 they would have turned in their graves at this.

This programme makes me sad, just seeing Ade tryin to do comedy schtick without Rik makes me uncomfortable.
The writing isn't as strong either.
Rik and Ade's material juvenile as it is usually contains some laugh out loud hilairious moments in every ep. Not impressed and i'm thinking comedy might not be a good thing for them to go back to especially in this form, it's more or less the opposite of everything I love about The Young Ones.
