I already had very low expectations for this sitcom and after watching the first half i'm thinking how did it come to this? And what was Ade thinking of with this crap?

Ask Ade 20 years ago if he'd ever write a light weight mainstream sitcom for ITV, he would probably thought you were an idiot for asking.

20 years ago Ade Edmonson was a great comedy writer. Forget about shows like Bottom for a moment. Anyone who owns The Comic Strip Presents box set will see some Ade wonderfull works there.

He wrote some of the best comic strip films single handedly. Go watch both the Bad News episodes and my personal fave, "Eddie Monsoon - A Life"

Those were excellent comedies that are still funny 25 years on.

He's lost it big time. What does his wife think of this *beep* I bet she hates him for churning out this dross. Jennifer Saunders is still a fine writer. Even if her recent output isn't to your taste. At least she understands quality control.

could you be more specific? what sucked about it?

i like it, i think its very ade! it was orginally meant it to be vyvian from the young ones 20 years later, but later changed it apparantly. i have seen bottom, the young ones and the comic strip and i thought they were all fantastic, im a huge fan, but i think this is so funny!
