This movie may be one of the worst I've ever seen. I don't see why Malcolm McDowell does a movie like this..?!
I only saw it 'cause of the cover. :P Hoped there would be some hot chicks in it at least. Should just have watched a normal college/high school movie...

I wanted to like this movie. But it just went on and on with pretty poor acting and an equally bad script.
A friend once told me that "good things come together" when a writer is also the director and gets to see his actual vision created. It seems to me this movie suffers either from poor casting, or not enough budget to have more than one take.
I do respect Malcolm McDowell, but even his actions and motivation were hard to believe in this film.
You spotted the flaws perfectly. Bad script, bad acting, scenes seemingly shot without repetitions. I was also very surprised to find out that the writer is also a director. Before I learned that, the movie seemed like an awful adaptation of an average novel to me.
shareI even was shocked how bad Robert the Bruce was in this. Not only his character sucked, but so did the performance.
