Do kids really act like Greg and Rowely did in the movie?

They kind of remind me of home school kids... Do new kids that enter middle school act like Greg and Rowely did in the beginning of the movie?

Well I have a nephew around that age and from what I can tell kids don't actually act like that

Act like what? Seems perfectly realistic to me.

I was a total copy of Greg and now I'm a total copy of Rodrick.

Rodrick Rules! LOL. Although in real life, Rodrick would probably be working at Wal-Mart post high-school.

I haven't seen the movie yet but Greg from the book is exactly like one of my cousins. Down to the diary (which fell into my hand by chance), the seemingly-rational justifications for what others might perceive as selfish and the popular-meter.
My cousin was in middle school about 10 years ago but I'd imagine, if anything, the Greg types are the majority, judging by seeing kids interactions at the mall or any public place.

Kids are just like people and everyone has different personalities.

Yes. At least the kids in my jr high did. Greg’s character reminds me of Kevin from Wonder Years. He was a horrible friend.
