No, Greg is a terrible friend: he lies, whines, cares only about being popular (which is the worst way to become popular), manipulates his best friend, and throws him under the bus.

I was the type of kid who was friends with everyone. I didn't follow the rules of groups and let others tell me who I could hang out with. I saw everyone as equal.
