The real shame...

Is that even when John Stoll got released his own son abandoned him.

reply

Yup... the investigators/social workers/therapists brainwashed him into believing that his own father molested him... when under oath he had no recollection of anything like that ever happening to him... Truly sad that he cannot understand that it didn't really happen to him. Those people ruined Stoll's and countless others' lives in order to gain political power... WOW.

Yeah this movie has made me so upset with the law enforcement and government there which seems so corrupt.

Those families that were damaged by that DA and judge should sue the living hell out them.

just watched it and that's the part that gets me the most.. disappointed in our justice system, angry at what happened, but John Stoll being let out just to be alone after 20 years and the rebuilding his life part but w/o his son- that = tears.

I live in Texas and if there were ever a state in need to legal reform it this one. I actually believe that these DA's should be locked up in jail. They found hidden evidence that a doctor saw the kids and stated they were not molested. I think if these DA's knew they face prison for hiding evidence and railroading people to prison there would be a lot less of this shenanigans going on.

The DA's know Americans love tough law and order so they give it to us so they can be re-elected or go on to even a bigger and better elected position. We as Americans need to stop feeding into that belief. We should want justice, not framing innocent people. Also I remember that Governor who over turned all of those Death Penalty cases in Illinois a few years back said one of the main reasons he did that is because none of the DA's would ever admit to him that they might had been wrong. Not once. That action hurt his career immensely.

I also want to point out that people have to be very careful when it comes to kids. My father was a NYC Homicide Detective. He said kids will say what you want to say just for a promise of going home because they have been sitting in a room for a few hours. That is what happened in the Central Park wilding case. And they were teenagers. Imagine little children. And please children do lie. So that is never a valid point to say the children were not lying.

I feel so bad for the people in the film. I also believe that you can never un ring a bell. People who never believed them or people who believe the DA or cops are always right will still will never believe their innocence even after the convictions were overturned and evidence was hidden.
