Japan Whaling Fleet Returns from Antarctic Hunt with 333 Whales

Don't see any information about illegal harassment of the research program. Perhaps since Animal Planet de-emphasized pimping for Sea Shepherd, the fund raising wasn't sufficient to sail.

Googling further, the Japanese expanded their hunting area by three times.

“It's like trying to find a handful of trucks in an area twice the size of the United States,” Jeff Hansen, managing director of Sea Shepherd Australia, wrote in an email."

Even worse for Sea Shepherd, only one of its vessels, the Steve Irwin, is in the Southern Ocean.

They are going after the Japanese whalers in the courts instead and this time the ships were going after other fishing poachers.

Sea Shepherd is continuing to do it's good work just in different ways.

They still do direct action in other places in the oceans. Just not against the Japanese whalers in the Southern Ocean this time.
