Romanian Phrase just before End credits - Translation?

Hi, at the end of the movie, just before the end credits, there is a phrase in Romanian. Sadly, the subtitles in the version I saw did not translate it, but I made out a part which I understood "in Romania in 1953".
Can anyone translate that phrase for me please?

It means „The story happened in Romania in 1953”.

Sadly, it's true, the movie is a depiction of some of the "benefits" that the russians brought to us, the Romanians. Not to mention the following 40 years or so of communism and dictatorship, a period of slowly sinking into poverty, fear and lies, a period whose repercussions, unfortunately, are still felt (sometimes quite strongly) nowadays in Romania.

We know that the western world does not think so highly of us and we understand why, however we'd also appreciate if that same western world could try and understand what our nation has been through during those decades and why we are still struggling to reach the standards that other nations have already reached, many years ago.

Other Romanian movies that i remember, tackling the same subject (communism and russian influence in Romania) are "Undeva în Est" (1991), "Binecuvântata fii, închisoare" (2002) and "Balanta" (1992).

The Russian troops left Romania in 1958 and communism ended 21 years ago. Stop whining on forums of movies you missed the point of.
