So you watched a movie for two minutes and reached the conclusion: "the whole thing is an insult to your intelligence." I don't know how you could do that with ANY movie, let alone this one. Imagine if a critic for a newspaper said he watched a movie for two minutes and shut it off.

I rented this movie, I actually thought it was pretty good. Certainly much better than a lot of other thriller/horror movies I have rented.

Then again I like this genre, you I am guessing, are not a huge fan of this genre.

Too bad you only watched the first two minutes, it gets a lot better, and is definitely not an insult to any ones intelligence. 7/10.

Nope - the original poster is right - the acting is so dreadful I barely last five minutes myself. The small bit I did see was confusingly edited, the "blood" looked like pink paint and, like I said, the acting was utterly appalling - I could have done better myself and it looked like a student film school project or something. Frankly, you can tell whether a movie is going to be at least something that will hold your attention for the duration and this had nothing and I'm a huge fan of the horror genre.
Avoid like the plague.

Ah I see now, you guys are watching a bootlegged copy of some kind.

There was no "blood" in the first five minutes that I remember.

So you can do better? I love posts like that on IMDB, let's see your movie then.

THE worst film of all time. I don't say that lightly. I'm one who finds it quite pathetic that every movie has a 'this movie sucks' topic on IMDB.
But, in this case, it needs it.
The acting was dire by both main characters. I really couldn't decide who was worse. Clearly neither have any previous acting background or skills.
It was so overly dramatic at times and wooden the others.
This is the kind of dreary acting you expect in a porn flick.
The movie was confusing at times when it dotted from one time to another and the only thing worth looking at was Raquel.

Avoid this trash like the plague. 0/10

Wow! It's like we are all watching a different movie or some thing here :)

"The worst film of all time?" "Trash?" "0/10". Come on....this is not an Oscar winner. I can see how some people would not like the unusual approach though.

I really don't understand people who come onto a movie board and say these sorts of things about movies, I mean if you hate it that much why even bother? It's not just this one, it's all over IMDB. Read the board for Napoleon Dynamite, some people love that movie others just hate it.

BTW, f1Racer I notice that you wrote the following in a thread for a movie called Suspension:

"It cant be the worst one ever. All the others are. They must be because someone thinks every movie is the worst ever on IMDB. See the problem is theres too many sad little pricks out there who think their opinion counts over everybody elses."

So are you now a "sad little prick who thinks their opinion counts over everybody elses"?

After all you just said this was "worst movie of all time."

There are some great words of wisdom in that Suspension thread though:

"Is it compulsory on imdb for somebody to start a thread titled 'worst movie ever' for every film?

Then someone else will jump in to defend it and then we're off into a mindless argument between people who don't understand the concept of subjectivity.

If you get tired after 10 minutes then jump to the last 3 minutes before the end and you will know everything, sparing some good time for the gym, or a good book.I do think it is a poor film that could have been seriously better with decent actors. I got terribly bored and the awful acting did not help to keep me interested.

This is the best comment for the movie. I absolutely hated this movie.

Although erod below is a good debater, the movie fails to impress me (and it appears many more).

No, erod, the problem is not with the statistics or the rating. The problem is with the acting and lack of a good script.

The "twist" in the end is good but it still does not explain many things:
1. What was the wolf's role?
2. What was the demon's role?
3. Who were the executioner / doctor and what were they doing?
4. Who exactly was Matt and what was his crime?
5. Why did Matt's eyes shine green once in the movie while he did not really mean any harm to anyone or so it seemed?
6. Why did they have different versions of their experiences to tell each other?
7. What happens in the end? Is Lake arrested and given a "prisoner number" just on the basis of suspicion?

Yes, the wolf and the number appear in both Lake's interrogation and the "program" but how does it still prove the allegation of murder on Lake?

So, basically, my question is: what exactly was the twist trying to twist?

I'm with you. I thought the twist could've been executed a little better.

One thing I would like to add is who exactly was Lake and what drove her to kill? A little more background on her character would've made things a little better, or maybe they did explain some things. It was hard for me to stay away while watching this because of how late it was.

What is their reason for tearing it down?

Some of these guys come on to IMDB just so they can say how terrible a movie is, they don't have any thing positive to say about any film.

I'll go in with erod, this was not a great movie, but it wasn't bad for what it was. It took risks that's for sure. I don't rent these kind of movies expecting to see Lord Of The Rings. Maybe others here do? I don't know?

There you go Erod - brandolongo - 'absolute garbage'! Like me, he's with the majority (124 people voted and gave it 2.2/10 - haven't seen a score that low in a long time!). I think brandolongo's right: you're some kind of defensive insider defending the indefensible. I can listen to a wannabe rock band for 2 minutes and know they're sh!t or view a would-be artist's painting for 2 seconds and know it's sh!t It's all a matter of having good taste and knowing your subject matter. Sure, you're entitled to your opinion, but like the great man said, "Opinions are like a$$hole$, everbody's got one." Now, Mr Movie Buff, who said that?

Majority? Hmmmm majority is 50% plus 1. The comments in the other section are 4 out of 5 positive. In addition to the other positive comments in the other threads. Seems odd that you ignore those and declare your self "the majority."

As for the star rating, yes it says 2.2. So if that jumps to 7/10 in three weeks that means you will change your mind, or does it only work in your favor?

Did you look at the data behind the score? 37% give it in an 8/10. The arithmetic mean is 5.7, where on earth does IMDB get 2.2 from?

I also notice that 22,000 people gave The Godfather a score of 1/10!! What does that tell you about the ability of the average person to rate a movie?

Yes you are correct in your assessment of people's opinions. Look in the mirror to see how it applies.

Erod, are you the director, the keygrip or the male lead? You obviously worked on this and those type of glorifying posts are called "plants". In the future just fire and forget and don't bother coming on here to defend... if the movie is worth a crap, people will find out without you telling them how great it is.

2.2 is the weighted average where they toss out a percentage of the top and bottom scores to account for directors and their buddies coming on here clickin' a movie up.

No, this is not the worst movie ever. There have been millions of movies made throughout the years and worst can only apply to one of them (and that is probably Disaster Movie). But if someone was to make a book titled "The Worst Movies Ever", I wouldn't be surprised to see this make it in there, at least as a dishonorable mention...

Hack story and bad acting set against an awful premise... You're being very optimistic if you think this will ever see about 4 muchless 7.

This isn't me being mean or spiteful. If you really did work on this, listen to the negative comments and use them to make your next project better.

Nope, I have nothing to do with the film business. I'm in a totally un-related field.

I do take exception to the idea that any positive comment on IMDB must be a "plant" as you put it, and all negative comments must be taken seriously. Fact is there are positive comments about this film, you and others just choose to ignore them.

I still predict the rating on this movie will rise, not to 7/10 mind you, but I can see it going higher.

Any way, I was new to IMDB and this one of the first films I rated after seeing it. I have nothing more to say on this film.

The reality is...why should I care what others think of the films I like and don't like?

Such a horrible movie. Whenever a low budget movie is made, it should always contain scripted dialogue. Using improv just makes the movie worse. For the most part, this film I think did indeed use scripted dialogue, but it was written so badly that it seemed as though it was improv.

For like 60 minutes they talked about how they should get out of the prison, but did little about it. They didn't even come up with a plan. They just complained to each other that they couldn't get out and got upset at each other for not knowing how to get out. Such a silly movie!

Horrible dialogue
Bad acting
Horrible editing (which was the worst part of the movie)

Anyone unsure of watching this film, should stay away.... Seriously!

Well gudoleboy2 I completely ignored your advice and I watched this movie any way. I think mainly because I wanted to see for myself what was "so bad." Maybe that was the producers marketing scheme? Kind of like how people watch car accidents, train wrecks, & plane crashes on the news each night.

I have to say I didn't think this was a bad movie at all. I liked the fact that nothing was recycled here, I really had no idea what was going to happen next.

Not sure what you mean by "horrible editing"? You mean the non-linear style of story line? Well that's some thing you will either like or dislike, I found it intriguing. People that are only into The Dark Knight and Indiana Jones will not like this movie, that is true.
