Perfect example of why I love movies

I was fascinated from the very beginning down to the ending credits. The lead actors, cinematography, plot, and every production element never let the audience down. So very, very well done all around. All praise continues to the supporting actors who contribute to the high quality of the film, the perfect example of "there are no small parts."

I have seen Get Low several times and my interest has never waned.

I've read more than once that this film dragged and bored. I would counter that this film develops at the same measured pace as the rural pace of the people it depicts. But the riches there!

The only thing I regret is how Get Low emphasizes by the sheer weight of its excellence what we are missing with the almost total modern emphasis on big budget, CG dependent, comic book based films.


It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.
