I read in the newspaper a couple days ago that this film was shot both in French and English (not just dubbed over). Are there two versions of the film then, and are both versions on DVD?

Yes, both versions were filmed and both are available on the DVD.
shareI was slightly confused when I loaded the blu ray. Normally I won’t watch anything dubbed, but there is no option for French Audio if you click on the English menu when the disc loads; however, it's clear right away that it's not dubbed, but an actual English version. A nice surprise; not that I have anything against subtitles.
