Spoilers *Kidnapping*

Overall I was pleasantly surprised by this - I accidentally netflixed this instead of a similarly titled movie, and I ended up thoroughly engrossed and creeped out.

HOWEVER, there were several plotholes that took me out of the story, primarily how the psychopath was able to kidnap Mina - uh, she was shown several times riding a bike, or walking. Never driving a car. So, how did she get Mina into her torture basement? On the handlebars? Also, the husband MUST have known about her. Did he help her mutilate and torture victims? And how was it her fault if he ALLOWED her to chop his arms off? Her limp seemed like a non sequitor too, unless I missed something. And, lastly, the end was just a bit much. An unstaffed hospital, a serial killer who escapes unscathed and barefoot from the basement of a burning building and magically appears in a hospital bed, etc.

They say in the movie that Mina was kidnapped while taking out the trash... but beyond that... I dunno... but I don't think it much matters. Knock Mina out, hail a cab, pretend she is drunk and have the taxi drive to the torture house? Would the movie be that much better if they'd come up with some BS and shown it in minute detail?
The crazy woman is pretty damned focused so I'm fine with just taking it for granted she'd find a way.
As for the husband... I get the idea that their relationship went all the way back to childhood and that he was something of an idealist like the protagonist is... wanting to protect her.

Well - yeah. Honestly, I think it would have been a better movie if some brief explanation were given for how Mina got there. It was puzzling enough (to me) to distract me from an otherwise excellent movie. I hate it when small, easily explained plot points are overlooked and take me out of the story. Then I catch myself wondering "wait, how the hell did X happen??" rather than focusing on the screen.

... how the psychopath was able to kidnap Mina ...
Agreed. How was the gimp able to kidnap her so easily and yes, we never see her drive a car in the whole film?
Also, the husband ... Did he help her mutilate and torture victims?
I think he had to be in on it. But how the hell did she persuade him to be relieved of his arms? That was bizarre and never explained. Bear in mind too that he was the third husband. The second had also amazingly had his arms chopped off. She must have been exceedingly good in bed to persuade a succession of husbands to have their arms amputated "accidentally".🐭
