Vera Farminga is, indeed, an attractive woman. But that was a body double. I read elsewhere and it was confirmed by Reitman.

Watch her de-clothe in The Departed, filmed just three years earlier when she was 32 to 33 while filming. Not shabby at all.

I've always felt the best looking Hollywood females are at their peak between the ages of 29 to 34, so her in The Departed fits right into that window.

It was a body double. She filmed that movie after her pregnancy. She said she would've done it, but she herself said it would've been disgusting to the audience since her pregnancy was very recent to when they filmed.

Farmiga stated that the film was shot right after her pregnancy and she felt the presence of breast milk might be inappropriate. Generally she said she has no issue with nudity and would have done the scene herself otherwise.
