Aya and Saki = enemies?

Is this film canon with any of the games? I suppose not. The reason I ask, is cause I've never really watched the film. But I have the US X-Box 360 game. And as of now, from what I've played, both sisters are goog girls. But in the movie they're enemies. What's the deal?

I've never played the game (in fact I never even knew it was based on a game until I bought it) but in the film the sisters are enemies because Dr. Sugita had Saki kill their father when they were children which Aya saw whilst hiding.
