Above and Beyond:Who guessed the ending in the first 5 minutes?(Spoiler)

Maybe for a few seconds I thought some alien had taken over Ben and made him attack Max, but as it went on it became obvious this was the old "They're testing them" scenario. Especially when Pierce kept mentioning how Max told them to stay together and work as a team.
