better than survival of the dead???
im just wondering, as im not to keen on survival, rather dissapointed with it

You`ll probably wait for a long time until zombie movie you`ll find worth watching comes out.
IMO Survival was pretty good, and I had watched Zone of the Dead 3 times.
Survival was OK, but it's not a movie you could watch 3 times in a row. Zone is. It's a fun little flick.
sharei couldnt make it through a second viewing of survival, my mate demanded to turn it off lol.
im only interested in apocalypse because of ken foree. I bought 'colin' on dvd as well it was interesting, a bit too long and its budget limitations in large scenes (coupled with some bad acting) let it down. I loved the music though.
the zombie genre is my fave, except that i keep seeing total garbage (virus on mulberry street hahahah or whatever its called)

Ken is the main character in Zone of the Dead. He has a lot of screen time in the movie, and IMHO he does a very decent job.

The pacing is OK. Zombie infestation starts at 00:08:30. There's some exposition, character introductions but at approximately 00:30:00 the zombie mayhem starts. There are some juicy gore parts here and there (Miroslav Lakobija and his crew did a great job with very limited budget), but it's not a gore fest.

"Zone of the Dead" is better than nothing. Everything is better than "Zone of the Dead"
This is by far a better zombie flick than Survival in my opinion. More action, more gore (not that CGI rubbish) and much better atmosphere and settings.
sharesurvival had horrible CG, i dont understand why it didnt use real effects, it was too slow paced, Survival and diary, both felt like cheesy acted comedies, i felt no dread as i did with previous dead films.
i definatly need to check zone of the dead out.

shareThis movie was definitely better than Survival of the Dead. The makeup is superior, the acting is better and there's a steady pace. Survival of the Dead had a 4 million dollar budget (not including advertising fees) and felt like it had a lot less funding due to it's amateur look and directing (even though I do respect George Romero). Zone of the Dead is not by any means a classic in the making or even a good film, but it's by far the more entertaining film and surely has replay value.
shareI thought survival and zone were both pretty crappy. I find it sad that people would even spend half a million dollars on such boring zombie flicks.
